Welcome Transfer Students!
Transfer student advisement provides support and guidance in academic advisement and course registration. Effective May for Fall 2024 Implementation:
- Transfer students with 44 credits or less will be assigned a Professional Transfer Advisor. In addition to being assigned a Professional Transfer Advisor, Transfer students with 44 credits or less will also be assigned a Faculty Advisor in their major.
- Having both a Professional Transfer Advisor and a Major Faculty Advisor will provide you with a more well-rounded, predictable, and equitable advising experience by giving you access to all the resources and supports needed for you to thrive in college.
Once you have completed 45+ credits:
- You will no longer be assigned to a Professional Transfer Advisor. At this point, you will be assigned to your Major Faculty Advisor only.
- This would allow for a more seamless transition since the relationship with your Major Faculty Advisor has already been established.
- You will work with your Major Faculty Advisor until graduation.
- *Note: Undeclared students will not have a Major Faculty Advisor assigned to them until they declare a specific major.
Your Degree Works:
- Your Degree Works is your academic audit record and should be reviewed often. Both your Professional Transfer Advisor & Major Faculty Advisor will put academic advisement notes at the very bottom of your Degree Works. Please be sure to read these important notes.
